My Sleeping Angel

Hi everyone just wanted to write a little post. Ben and I are doing good and so is Paige she is such a good baby I'm very thankful for that. We've been getting up about 2 to 3 hours with her at night witch is pretty good for newborns, but my body doesn't do so well if I don't get enough sleep. I've started to get sick but hopefully it well go away soon and Paige stays well. We have had a hard time nursing so i have to pump and feed her that way but at least I have enough milk to feed her. Ben calls me a jersey cow because I have 6 half pints in the fridge that's how much I'm ahead of her. We will be blessing Paige May 10Th on Mothers day hear in Las Vegas. So anyone that wants to come is welcome are church starts at 11:00 am at the Robindale Chapel.

Pay it Forward

I just read about this on one of my friend's blogs. I thought that it would be fun to try it out!
Here are the rules to Pay It Forward!

1. Be one of the first THREE bloggers to leave a comment on this post, which then entitles you to a handmade item from me.

2. Winners must post this challenge on their own blog, meaning that you will pay it forward, creating a handmade gift -anything!- for the first THREE bloggers who leave a comment on YOUR post about this giveaway!

3. The gift that you send to your 3 friends can be from any price range and you have 365 days to make/ship your item. This means you should be willing to maintain your blog at least until you receive your gift and have shipped your gifts. And, remember it’s the spirit and the thought that count!

4. When you receive your gift, blog about it! If you are not one of the first three to comment on this post, you can still play along. Go ahead and start your own Pay It Forward chain, and encourage your blogging friends to do the same! It's all about paying it forward

Oh How I Love GoodWill!

I have been thinking of all the nice things I find at Goodwill hear in Las Vegas. I love this store its like a treasure hunt for me to find good things. Target is one of the stores that give a lot of stuff to good will so its fun to find good things at a cheaper price but it is a game that goes up and down and its always hard to tell myself NO!!!! but I've been pretty good lately. This month I found a nice rocking horse for only $7.00 witch I know Ben could have not made one that cheep or as nice for that price(I love it).

I know the lord helps me and my sister out when were looking for things that we need for the house. This year Connie has helped me find a storage ottoman witch was from target brand new and I only got it for $35.00 witch I know that in target they were selling for at least $100.00. Also that same day i found a nice changing table for our Baby. Ben and I saw the same one in Babies R US for $80.00 and I got mine for $25.00. I'm so thankful for these Blessings in our life.

Photos of other finds from Goodwill.

Blanket,
Vintage Coasters
Camping Tent!

This was a TV tray form good will and I got to pant it and do a crackle finish top witch was a lot of fun!

In this photo I got the lamp(was from target) & table (is from pottery barn)at goodwill.I hope this gives you a spark for shopping at Goodwill or any store like it.
Happy shopping!

Christmas Card & Letter!

First, we would like to wish a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all friends and loved ones. We hope this year has been as good to all of you as it has been to us. Also, we apologize for not sending a “real” card this year but we hope this will suffice for the moment.
I guess we’ll start with the biggest news first. Trina and I are expecting our first baby and it’s a girl!! Her “do date” is March 29 so in three months you should all be receiving an announcement. It is starting to get closer and closer and we are getting really excited to welcome her to the world and to our family. Both mom and the baby are doing great, and growing, and we feel blessed in that regard.
Our year has been good, a little less eventful than the last. No break-ins or blown up car engines this year which we are very thankful for. We tried to buy a house this summer; I think we must have looked at fifty or more over a month’s time. We even submitted several bids but were always out bid in the end. After all the looking, and being out bid, we decided to sign another lease at our current place. We enjoy our current ward and some of our best friends live in the apartment directly below ours so we feel maybe this was what was supposed to happen.
Trina still nannies during the day for two little boys. I think she still likes it and I don’t hear too many complaints from her. It’s getting more difficult now that she is pregnant because the younger of the two still doesn’t walk and I guess he’s a real solid little guy. Trina did get a few weeks off this fall while the father of the family was between jobs, which was nice.
Trina still does some photography when the opportunity arises. I think she did two weddings this summer and there is always the occasional family portrait, graduation, or missionary picture. And of course, there are always lots of nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters, etc who need photos. Her website has been down for a few months, something about the person who was hosting it moved or is not hosting anymore, I’m not sure of the details. So any work that comes her way now is purely by word of mouth.
I’m still working for the same company doing estimating for the framing division. This year has been a little scary as residential construction in Las Vegas has slowed to a snail’s pace. The company has had to let a lot of people go this year and closed our divisions in Reno and Kingman. My department has stayed busy bidding anything and everything that can be framed out of wood. We have been able to pick up some apartments and a few commercial buildings to supplement the few houses that are still being built. It still looks a little bleak but we pay our tithing and live the best we can and try not to worry too much about it.
I have also been taking classes in the evenings at the community college. This spring I will transfer to UNLV and will enter their construction management program. The degree still seems a long way off but it will be good to be into the program finally. School is school and I guess there is no easy way to get around it.
We feel very blessed and love and enjoy having you in our lives. We hope you are all able to enjoy the Holiday season and spend it with the people you love. Merry Christmas!
